BACK-TO-SCHOOL FAIR
Thank you for helping make the districtwide Back-to-School Fair on Aug. 23, a huge success! About 4,000 students and families visited school tables, learned about district programs, met community partners in healthcare, education, social support services, and more! More than 1,000 students received school supplies and backpacks, thanks for a generous donation from foundry10.

If your student needs school supplies, please let your school office know!

Thanks!
It takes many hands to stage a large event like the Back-to-School fair. Thanks to the nearly 50 volunteers who helped prepare and manage the event. We also appreciate our community partners who shared information, resources, and free services like dental exams, heart screenings, sports physicals and immunizations, all free of charge for families!

CALENDARS!
The 2024-25 calendar is on the district website. To save resources for core student needs, we are not printing a multi-page wall calendar this year. A paper copy of the one-page calendar will be distributed to each student and staff member during the first week of school.

Calendar details are entered on school and district ParentSquare calendars and on the websites. View district web calendar

More good news!
As a result of a successful bargaining agreement, the 2025-26 and 2026-27 one-page calendars are also complete! They can be found on the district website under the Students and Families tab.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL INFORMATION
The new school year begins next week and we've got your needs covered! Find back-to-school information including start dates, schedules, health forms, school supply lists, ParentSquare help, and more, on the Back-to-School Resources webpage.

Bus routes
If you didn't receive your student's bus route information by email earlier this week, you can find their bus route information in Skyward Family Access. If you can't remember your password, or have never logged in before, please use the "Forgot your Username or Password?" link and enter the email address you have on file with your student's school to receive a password reset email.

Meals and potentially more student benefits
If you think your family might qualify, and you haven't already completed the nutrition benefit application and consent to share form, please do so. While all students will receive a free breakfast and free lunch at school this year, your responses may qualify your student for additional benefits such as reduced or waived fees. See details and form links on the Nutrition Services website.

MARINER HIGH SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION COMPLETE!
We unveiled the newly constructed spaces at Mariner High School last week during a public ribbon cutting event. About 200 people attended to preview the addition which provides much needed space to accommodate more of the student body during meals, gatherings, and more. The project includes a beautiful new commons area, library, career and counseling area, and student store.

In addition to the Mariner project, the voter-approved 2020 Capital Bond provided funding for the district to complete several new projects throughout the district including several elementary and middle school renovations. See project details, plans and photos on the Capital Projects' new website.
